Matamoya

Matamoya is an izakaya in Kyoto that serves aged sashimi, tempura, and nihonshu. The sashimi includes shrimp, eel, and squid, and mentaiko, ma, and shiso tempura along with karaage can be ordered. Nihonshu selections include sake from the Ine area, and the staff recommend sake that matches the food. There is no English menu and translation is poor, which makes ordering difficult.
