Naminoue Beach sits beside central Naha, within view of Naminoue Shrine, and is set up for swimming and water play. A line in the water divides off a pool-like swimming area, and food trucks sell simple food, drinks and shaved ice. The beach is about a 25-minute walk from the city center and has lifeguards on duty. Showers are individual curtained stalls used in three-minute sessions, snorkeling is not allowed, and there are almost no fish.
