Osu Kannon is a traditional Buddhist temple at the end of the Osu shopping street in Nagoya, dedicated to Kannon. Worship takes place in front of the vermilion main hall, where visitors burn incense. The temple was built in the Gifu area in 1366 and moved to Nagoya by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1612. The temple grounds hold a large number of pigeons, so care is needed when approaching them.
