Nagoya City Hall stands across from Nagoya Castle on the east side. Completed in 1933, it is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, with a Western-style building topped by a Japanese-style tiled roof and four shachi on the clock tower, and a marble staircase and long corridor at the central entrance. On weekday opening days, visitors can pick up a viewing guide at the information desk on the right side of the central entrance and look around the interior, and the first-floor north corridor runs 100 meters and has been used as a filming location. The interior cannot be viewed on public holidays.
