Banshoji is a modern Buddhist temple in the middle of the Osu shopping district, founded as a family temple of the Oda clan. At set times, white smoke and a water column emerge from the white dragon carving in front of the main gate, and the interior holds LED video and lantern decorations. Nobuhide, father of Oda Nobunaga, founded it in 1540 as the family temple, and it was moved to its current site in 1610. There are many types of goshuin, but lines form on weekends and requesting several types takes a long time.
