Tamarind Village is a hotel in the center of Chiang Mai's Old Town, with Lanna-style buildings and northern Thai crafts. A tamarind tree over 200 years old stands in the middle of the courtyard, and guests pass through a bamboo tunnel to check in with a welcome drink. It is a five-minute walk from Tha Phae Gate, and Wat Phra Singh and the Sunday Walking Street are within walking distance. The hotel also runs a free walking tour, and the breakfast menu is limited.
