Gaeseongjip is a Korean restaurant on the slope beside Mokdong Gomdallae-gil in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, serving mandu-guk, someori-gukbap and bossam. The mandu-guk holds five North Korean-style large dumplings filled with zucchini and pork in a sagol broth, and bossam and mung bean pancakes can be ordered as well. Dumplings are folded by hand in one corner of the dining room, and the restaurant began in the mid-1980s as a construction-site canteen. The food is not heavily salted, so anyone expecting strong, pungent flavors will find it bland.
