Fujimidou is a rice cracker shop inside the ticket gates of Tokyo Station, on the basement first floor of Gransta Tokyo next to Gin no Suzume. Its signature item, ankotenmai, is made by sandwiching Hokkaido red bean paste between thin grilled rice crackers. The shop began in 1950 in Aoto, Katsushika City, Tokyo, and mills domestically contracted rice from brown rice on site, handling everything from kneading to takeout in a single workshop. Ankotenmai sells out around 9 a.m., so buying it later in the day is difficult.
