Almond Tokyo is a pastry shop on the first floor of Tokyo Gift Palette at the Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station. It specialises in napoleon pies, with a signature mille-feuille that layers custard cream, seasonal strawberries and roasted almonds between crisp pastry sheets. The shop began as a Western confectionery that gained popularity at Almond Roppongi in the 1980s, and only the Roppongi and Tokyo locations remain. The napoleon pie has a moist centre and breaks apart easily when cut, making it awkward to eat.
