Portena Shop

Portena Shop is a small stall in Borough Market, London, selling Argentine empanadas and steak sandwiches. The empanadas come out hot from the oven and can be filled with chicken, beef, ham and cheese, or spinach and ricotta, or tomato and mozzarella, while the steak sandwich includes chimichurri sauce. Seating is available in front of the shop and under the bridge, and while empanadas come out relatively quickly, the chorizo sandwich takes over 20 minutes. There are few seats and the area around the tables is noisy.
