The Blackfriar is a traditional English pub in London serving fish and chips, steak and ale pie, and draft beer. The fish and chips come with a crisp batter, and the steak and ale pie is served with mashed potatoes. The building stands on the site of a medieval Dominican priory and retains copper reliefs and monk motifs. The space is small, so seats fill quickly in the evening and waits are possible even with a reservation.
