Standing Izakaya SHARP is a tachinomi izakaya near the station in Kyoto that seats about seven people. It serves sake, highballs, and beer without Japanese sake or draft beer, along with snacks such as three kinds of sashimi and aburi shimesaba. Orders are placed from a chalkboard on the wall, and customers can talk with the owner while watching baseball broadcasts together. The shop is very small, so when it fills up you are packed against your neighbors and have to keep standing, which makes it not a place for relaxed drinking.
