Genzou

Genzou is an izakaya in Nishiki Market in Kyoto that serves udon and a range of other dishes. The udon broth is good, and the menu is varied enough to eat several dishes in one place. Because it sits inside a tourist area, portions are small and prices are high, including for the udon. Service is a weak point: orders are not always passed on correctly.
