Amamiya

Amamiya is a Japanese-style cafe on the second floor across from Hōraku Manjū in the Kamitori shopping street of Kumamoto. It serves Japanese desserts such as matcha parfait and bingsu alongside udon and curry, and the matcha parfait contains matcha gateau chocolat, warabi mochi, red bean paste and senbei, with a separate matcha sauce poured over it. Guests climb a narrow staircase at the entrance, take off their shoes, and sit in kotatsu seats, table seats or private rooms. The entrance is narrow, so it is easy to walk past at first.
