Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is a Japanese restaurant in Kobe that serves gyukatsu and gyukatsu rice bowls, located near Sannomiya Station. The gyukatsu, made with chateaubriand, chuck flap and tenderloin, is served medium-rare and grilled to the desired degree on a candle burner. The restaurant is in the basement of the Mint Kobe building, which makes it hard to find, and waits at lunch can exceed 30 minutes. Rice is eaten with curry and a soft-boiled egg.
