Kiyasu Sohonpo Umeda-Daimaru Shop

Kiyasu Sohonpo is a Japanese confectionery in the basement food hall of the Daimaru Umeda department store, connected to Umeda Station. Its signature item is mitarashi dango: a rice cake that is grilled long and flat rather than round, then coated in a sweet soy sauce. The takeout dango stays soft the next day. The Daimaru basement food hall is split into two sections, which makes the shop hard to find on a first visit.
