Isshindo Hankyu Umeda

It Shin Do Hankyu Umeda is a traditional Japanese dessert shop in the basement dessert corner of the Hankyu Umeda main store in Osaka's Kita Ward. It sells seasonal fruit mochi, coating strawberries, melon, peaches, and mango in soft, stretchy mochi, with fillings such as white bean paste, red bean paste, or cream cheese. Popular fruit mochi can sell out after 5 p.m. even on weekdays, so arriving early is advised. The shop is small and can be hard to find when nearby stores are busy.
