Takeoff is a bar in a side street near Umeda and Ohatsutenjin in Osaka, decorated around the theme of airplanes and airports. It offers a range of drinks with a choice of whisky, along with food and desserts such as house-made pudding, cheesecake and curry. A karaoke setup sits between airport displays and bottle shelves, and around 10 p.m. the bar draws women and people working in the overseas airline industry. After the last train, more customers arrive and seats become hard to find.
