Izusen is a vegetarian restaurant in Kyoto that serves shojin ryori, Buddhist temple cuisine made without animal products, at the entrance of Daitokuji. The yuba course brings sesame tofu, a dish served like hoe, simmered food, fu dengaku, and clear soup in sequence. Before the meal, Uji matcha and wagashi are served, and the course continues across several plates. The interior is quiet and has both traditional floor seating and chairs.
