Ryokan Nenrinbo is a lodging in Kyoto that runs guest rooms and Japanese-style meals on the foot of a mountain. Stays include a kaiseki dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast. Rooms have tatami floors with futon bedding, and some come with two washbasins and a bathtub. It sits deep at the base of the mountain, so reaching it by bus is difficult, and travel to places other than Kinkaku-ji takes about an hour.
