Solsot Myeongdong serves Korean rice dishes cooked in a hot pot, topped with abalone, steak, or eel. Diners scoop out the rice and toppings first, then pour in broth at the end to finish it like nurungji-tang. Orders are placed on a tablet at the table and paid for by card, and water, cups, and utensils are already set out. The space is small, so at lunch a line forms up the narrow stairs and the seats are placed close together.
