Rahyangak Maratang is a Chinese restaurant behind the Dongwha Duty Free Shop in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, serving malatang, malaxiangguo and malaban. Customers pick their own ingredients, then choose among soup, stir-fry or dry preparation and one of four spice levels. The malatang broth is numbing and cool, while malaban is sour and aromatic and malaxiangguo carries a stronger aroma than the malatang. In the evening seating runs short and the space is cramped.
