Jinane Tteokbokki

Jinane Tteokbokki is a small snack shop in the alley off Jangchungdan-gil across from Dongguk University, selling old-style tteokbokki, gimbap, fried food, and sundae. The signature rice-cake tteokbokki comes in either a thick, low-broth sauce or a brothy instant style. The instant tteokbokki contains chewy noodles, ramyeon, rice cakes, cabbage, fish cake, and perilla leaf, and is brought out to boil for about a minute before eating. The sauce is sweet and heavily salted, so it is not the choice for anyone looking for a mild tteokbokki.
