Hwangpyeongjip Dakgomtang

Hwangpyeongjip Dakgomtang is a chicken restaurant in an alley at the entrance of Inhyeon Market, a five-minute walk from Chungmuro Station. The dakgomtang comes with clear, deep broth, minced garlic and chicken skin, while the dakmuchim mixes chilled chicken in a sweet-and-sour seasoning. It opened in March 1982 and has been run by a second generation since. Ordering dakjjim or dakmuchim brings a separate bowl of plain chicken broth, and the chicken is not as tender as in standard baeksuk.
