Hongmandang

Hongmandang is a dessert shop in a Myeongdong alley next to Myeongdong Kyoja, selling strawberry mochi along with tangerine, green grape, and Shine Muscat mochi and souffle pancakes. The signature item is strawberry mochi, made with fresh strawberries and smooth red bean paste wrapped in a thin, chewy rice cake skin. Strawberry mochi comes out at 11 a.m. and 2, 4, 6, and 8 p.m., with lines forming 30 minutes before each time. Naver reservations are available for parties of six or more, and waits run from 30 minutes to an hour.
