Hongbok is a Chinese restaurant at the entrance of Namdaemun Market, behind the Shinsegae main store in Seoul, a two-minute walk from Hoehyeon Station Exit 7. It began in Busan in 1958 and moved to Seoul in 1970. The Chinese naengmyeon is served with peanut sauce and a tangy broth, and the menu also includes ganjajang, yunijajang, samseon jjamppong, and gunmandu. The jajangmyeon comes either minced as yunijajang or as ganjajang, the fried rice contains shrimp, and the cooking is generally plain.
