Gulbat is a rice-meal restaurant in a back alley near Chungmuro Station in Seoul that serves oyster and chicken dishes, including gul gukbap and gul albap. The gul albap comes with oysters and rice in a stone pot, and the mesaengi gul gukbap is served with a clear broth. The broth is seasoned with salted shrimp instead of MSG, and the side dishes include salted clam, salted octopus, and house-made kimchi and gat kimchi. The interior is plain, as befits an old establishment.
