Gangseo

Gangseo is an old Chinese restaurant in Seoul that serves jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk. It sits near the back gate of Dongguk University, a six-minute walk from Chungmuro Station Exit 1. The jjamppong has a spicy broth that is not oily, and the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk are ordered alongside it. The restaurant has operated near the Dongguk University back gate for over 30 years, keeping its small size and old-style cooking methods while the surrounding buildings have changed.
