Hongyemun

Hongyemun is a stone archway in Incheon connecting Sinpo-dong and Dongincheon Station. A Japanese army engineering corps built the arched passage in 1908 to expand Japanese residential areas and move supplies. The road above the gate looks out over Incheon Port and the surrounding residential district, and it links to a tour of modern buildings around Sinpo Market. The road is a narrow two-way single lane with no sidewalk, so care is needed when taking photos.
