Yeommai Market is a traditional market near Banwoldang transfer station in Daegu. It has many rice cake shops and catering food stores for weddings and ancestral rites, and also sells bunsik, jeon, and sujebi (hand-torn dough soup). The market opened as a permanent market in 1962, and Hyundai Department Store and the Yakjeon Alley of Yangnyeongsi are attached to it. Because it centers on rice cake shops and wedding food stores, the market is small in scale.
