Yeonggwang Tongdak

Yeonggwang Tongdak is a neighbourhood chicken restaurant in the alleys of Bangbae-dong that serves old-style fried chicken with dakttongjip and potato fries. The half-and-half chicken comes as a set with dakttongjip and potato fries, and the seasoned sauce is not sweet and stays restrained. A visit on Chuseok day in 2025 involved a wait of 30 minutes. Rather than a flavour that stands out like a franchise, it has the roughness typical of old-style fried chicken.
