Uijeongbu Budae Jjigae & Donkatsu

Uijeongbu Budae Jjigae & Donkatsu is a restaurant on the second floor of a small office building near Jonggak Station and Jogyesa in Jongno-gu, Seoul, serving budae jjigae and donkatsu. The budae jjigae is the Uijeongbu style, a clear, spicy broth with aged kimchi, ham, and sausage, and it comes with fish cake fries and kimchi jeon as basic side dishes. Seats can be hard to get even around 11:30 in the morning, side dishes are refilled automatically when they run out, and rice can be ordered for an extra portion. The portion of budae jjigae is on the small side.
