Sulbokgung is a drinking spot near Gyeongbokgung in Seoul that serves Korean dishes such as haemul pajeon and kimchi samgyeopsal jjigae with makgeolli. The haemul pajeon fills a whole pan with scallions and has a thin, crisp batter, while the kimchi samgyeopsal jjigae has a rich broth and comes in portions large enough for two people to leave some behind. The sundubu is soft like butter and is eaten with gochujang. The haemul pajeon is too thick and sticky to pick up with chopsticks.
