Solnaeeum Jongno Insadong is a Korean restaurant on the second floor overlooking the Insadong street. It serves steak, octopus, eel, and pork collar solbap as a single-person set with side dishes, along with buckwheat tea and scorched-rice broth. On weekend lunchtimes there can be a wait of about 10 minutes, and the restaurant keeps icebox water and hair ties for women on hand. The rice is not pressed directly in the pot but placed in a container to steam further, and commercial scorched rice is soaked before eating.
