Maeil Chicken

Maeil Chicken is an old-style whole chicken takeout shop on the road leading down from Seoul's Ihwa Mural Village toward Dongdaemun. It serves fried chicken, dubu ganjang, and moraejip with an old-fashioned batter rather than the coating used by BHC and BBQ. A takeout order includes three drumsticks, and the small shop inside runs as a neighborhood hop bar with a 1990s atmosphere. The owner couple greets customers there.
