Hyojeru

Hyojeru is a Chinese restaurant two minutes on foot from Jongno 5-ga Station Exit 3, serving jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk. The tangsuyuk is stir-fried with the sauce rather than served with it on the side, and the jjajangmyeon uses a thick sauce with reduced sweetness and chewy noodles. Lines form at lunch, and one or two parties wait in the evening. The jjamppong has a smoky wok flavor and seafood, with only mild heat.
