Hoban

Hoban is an old Korean pub in a side alley of the hanok district in Ikseon-dong, near Jongno 3-ga Station and Nagwon Arcade, serving Namdo-style dishes and drinking snacks. Its signature snacks include byeongeo jjim, modum sundae, and dogani muchim, with seasonal seosan ganggul and kongbiji as a basic side dish. Tables with reservations fill up before 6 p.m., and after the break time people wait standing, with one bottle of corkage free per table. The small space makes conversation difficult when the next table is loud, and the portions of snacks are on the small side.
