Halmae Guksu

Halmae Guksu is a noodle shop in Jongno, Seoul, about 15 metres down the road between exits 12 and 13 of Jongno 3-ga Station. It serves janchi guksu, bibim guksu and kong guksu, with the janchi guksu in a clean anchovy broth without any off-odours and the bibim guksu accompanied by a savoury anchovy broth. Barley rice is self-served, and once you have filled your bowl you are given namul, gochujang and sesame oil. Noodles are refilled free of charge when you run short, and the honghap guksu contains a generous amount of mussels.
