Gwangju Jip is a restaurant in the Ikseon-dong alleys of Jongno, near Exit 6 of Jongno 3-ga, and specialises in fresh galmaegisal. It grills galmaegisal and pork ribs, served with steamed egg and either kimchi soup or doenjang soup. On weekends there is no room to stand, and after 6 p.m. there are no seats left.
