Gochangjib

Gocheopjip is an outdoor meat restaurant in the pojangmacha alley near Jongno 3-ga Exit 3, serving galmaegisal along with makchang (beef abomasum), pork collar, pork jowl, and gabrisal. The raw makchang has a chewy texture and comes with gatkimchi and kimchi. The galmaegisal alley fills with daytime drinkers and late-lunch customers even on Sunday afternoons, and when the weather is good you can eat at the outdoor tables. The charcoal heats up quickly and then cools, which is a drawback for grilling meat.
