Dongdaemun Deungsim

Dongdaemun Deungsim is a grill house that opened in 1979 near Dongdaemun Station and Jongno 5-ga, serving 1++ Hanwoo sirloin and tenderloin. Meat from the aging cooler is trimmed to a size ready for eating when the order is placed, and the menu lists only sirloin and tenderloin. On a weekday at 6:30 p.m. the hall was full with group diners, and doenjang juk and bibim noodles are available on the side. Even for 1++ Hanwoo, the meat is expensive enough that eating one's fill is difficult.
