In Ikseon-dong, Byeolnan Gogitjip serves pork grilled at the table along with kimchi stew and budae jjigae. Order a stew and a hot pot of rice arrives with it, while the samgyeopsal (pork belly) is grilled with kimchi and water dropwort. Many of the customers are older residents of the neighborhood, and staff grill the meat at the table; some staff can also respond in Chinese. The rice in the pot forms a scorched crust at the bottom, which can be eaten as nurungji-tang after water is poured in.
