Busan Hoejip

Busan Hoetjip is an old raw fish restaurant in the alley near Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 15 and Sewoon Sangga in Jongno, Seoul, serving hoe and raw rockfish seaweed jiri. Its signature dish is raw rockfish seaweed jiri, a clear, rich soup made with raw rockfish and raw seaweed. After appearing on television, lunch and dinner crowds grew, so walking in without a reservation can mean a long wait. There is a private room in the back, and the tables are close together, so talking to the next table requires speaking loudly.
