Bongpyeong Ongsimi Makguksu

Bongpyeong Ongsimi Makguksu is a noodle restaurant in Jongno-gu, Seoul, serving potato ongsimi and buckwheat noodles. It sits directly next to the Red Cross Hospital at Seodaemun Station. The ongsimi memil kalguksu, its signature dish, is half ongsimi and half buckwheat noodles, eaten with barley rice mixed with yeolmu kimchi and shredded radish before the meal. The restaurant makes its makguksu noodles in-house, the second-floor hall is large, and the ongsimi kalguksu comes in a thick broth with perilla seed aroma and a slightly salty seasoning.
