The Ssanghwa Coffee Jongno Branch

Deossanghwa Coffee Jongno is a traditional tea house in the Jongno 5-ga dak hanmari alley that serves ssanghwa cha and coffee. The ssanghwa cha is brewed in-house and comes as a set with tteok, ginseng, yakgwa, and juk, and Americano and latte are also available. Orders are placed first at the herbal medicine shop across the street, then guests choose a chair, a room, or an ondol seat and the drinks are brought over. The building is a converted Jongno Gangnam Oriental Medicine Clinic that opened in 1967, and there are no dividers and the seats are close together, so conversations at the next table can be heard clearly.
