Iieum is a tea room in Seoul housed in a renovated hanok, serving Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean teas. Guests choose a tea such as Wuyi rock tea and view exhibitions by tea ceremony artists alongside the tea ware. Reservations are made through Instagram, and the space is small with delicate objects, so voices and movements must be kept low during a visit. If the house rules are not followed, the owner immediately stops the behaviour, making it hard to drink tea comfortably.
