The Gariwangsan Cable Car in Jeongseon climbs from the mountain's base to the summit in 20 to 25 minutes. It passes over the alpine ski slopes used for the 2018 Winter Olympics, with views of snow-covered mountains, autumn foliage, and cloud-covered ridges. At the top there is an observation deck trail and an indoor space, and riders receive a Jeongseon regional gift certificate after boarding. Operations can stop due to strong winds or electrical system failures, and when low clouds cover the summit, the landscape below is not visible.
