Nohyung Supermarket

Nohyeong Supermarket in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju, is an exhibition space that recreates a 1980s supermarket in black and white and pairs it with large-scale immersive media art. After the black-and-white market, the sequence shifts into returning color, and videos of space and famous paintings cover the walls, ceiling, and floor of a circular hall about 20 meters high across six floors. A full visit takes about 30 minutes to an hour, and the main hall has a space where visitors can sit and drink beverages. When groups of visitors crowd in, it is difficult to view the space quietly.
