Jeju Hyanggyo is a Joseon-era educational institution and historic site next to the Jeju Mokgwana government office. First built inside Jeju Fortress in 1392, it was moved several times before arriving at its current location in 1827. The grounds hold Daeseongjeon, Myeongnyundang, Gyeseongsa, and Jeonsacheong, and Daeseongjeon was designated National Treasure No. 1902 in 2016 for its basalt flower-wall and eaves support columns. An old barbershop stands within the hyanggyo grounds.
