Gwandeokjeong is a state-designated Treasure No. 322 in Samdo 2-dong, central Jeju City, built during the Joseon dynasty for military training and literary and martial practice. Its low height, long eaves, and open front show the old architectural style of Jeju. It is the oldest surviving building in Jeju and was used for archery and military training during the reign of King Sejong. As a single building with a modest scale, it does not offer many things to see.
